St. John’s UCC Mixed Choir
St. John’s UCC Choir will have rehearsals each Sunday in November at 9:45 am.
We will continue to meet monthly after worship at St. John’s UCC from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm. As always, anyone is welcome to join us. Typically, 7th & 8th graders participate, but we accommodate in grace. We grow by continuing discussion of our faith journey and what is essential as we attempt to understand God’s great love for all and how we struggle to live in the way Jesus models. Confirmation Sunday will be in May 2020.
2019 -2020 Schedule (subject to change):
The minor prophets, Jonah, Amos and Joel, will be studied using the Lifeguide Bible Study series. Studies will be held Tuesdays at 7 pm at St. John’s and repeated Thursdays at 9:30 am at Cardinal Pointe in Faribault. The first sessions are November 5th and 7th. There will be no Bible studies during Thanksgiving week. Lifeguide Bible studies have been used in some of out previous studies. We have found them to be thought provoking, yet easy to understand. All are invited. Please contact Doug Spike if interested or have any questions.

We are discussing doing something locally next year, so if you have a suggestion, please speak with Carol Hafemeyer, Judy Meese, Berdell Berquam or Shirley Little. Second Saturday Quilters
Second Saturday of the month, 9 am to noon
Next meeting: November 9, 2019
Second Saturday Quilters is open to people from all churches and their friends. This fun bunch of quilters meets the second Saturday of each month except during the summer. Please bring your own sewing machine and general sewing supplies. Contact Deb Wille at 507-323-4813 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or if you have questions.
Next meeting: Tuesday, November 19 @ 2 pm @ Faribault Hy-Vee Caribou Coffee (Please note this is the 3rd Tuesday of the month!)
Please offer suggestions of locations that are easily accessible, easy to find and open to the community. It is great to connect with one another. Plan at least a half hour, no longer than an hour. If you’re not able to come, please spend that dedicated time in prayer. It is making a difference. Also, remember P-P-P, People Pray and Praise. Let us continue praying for this season of new starts, and the communities and people we serve. Pray for God to bring people to engage with and invite to various activities that you enjoy. We are witnessing in our local communities to God’s extravagant love by our prayers and our presence. Thank you for your generosity!
Non-perishable food items are always welcome and may be brought to the church at any time. Your help delivering those items to our local food shelves is greatly appreciated. This is one of the many ways we share in mission!
